Chef requests · crop plans · succession planting
Plant what the chef asked for, before the gap shows.
Ortalio is built to turn what a kitchen asks for into a crop plan: each request logged with what, by when and how much, and each crop’s successions staggered so the next sowing is planned before the last harvest — on a hotel’s rooftop garden or in your own grow room.

Chef requests
The chef asks on Monday. The plan answers on Tuesday.
A request arrives the way chefs send them: a message between services. Ortalio is built to log it as a Chef Request — what, by when, how much — and tie it to the crop-plan line that will answer it, so you can show the chef where it stands at every step.
- What the kitchen asked for, by when and how much, in the chef’s own words
- Linked to the sowing that answers it, never a note that drifts
- Planned, in the ground, first harvest, delivered — one line the chef can follow

Could we have purple radish microgreens from the Friday after next? 4 oz a delivery would do, on the usual order. It’s for a new dish.

Crop plans and succession planting
The next sowing is set before the last harvest.
A kitchen that serves Little Gem every week needs a bed that never runs dry. Ortalio is built to hold each crop’s successions on one ribbon — when each is sown, when it is cut — so a gap shows while there is still time to close it.

Your timings · sample plan
- Each sowing is a line of its own: sown on a date you choose, cut over a window you set.
- A finding on the bed — here an issue — shows on the ribbon as well as in the visit.
- Months follow your hemisphere; the plan’s timings are always yours, never a figure Ortalio supplies.
Sites and growing stations
The client’s roof and your own farm, on one register.
Every bed, tower, rack and channel is a growing station on a site — the hotel’s rooftop garden or your own greenhouse and grow room. Ortalio is built to give each one its crops, plantings, readings and history, whichever site it stands on.

A grower whose site is their own farm keeps the same record as one who works on the client’s property: the farm is a site like any other.
EC and pH on hydroponic stations
A reading outside your range is seen on the visit.
On hydroponic stations, Ortalio is built to log two readings — EC and pH — against the target range you set for that station. A reading outside it becomes a finding with its severity, the fix is recorded on the same visit, and the re-read closes it.
Only EC and pH, only where a station is hydroponic. Ortalio is built to record readings you take; it does not monitor stations, send alerts or tell you a target.

What Ortalio is built to do
For growers on the client’s site, and growers who deliver from their own.
- Log a Chef Request on the visit or from the chef’s message, and link it to the plan line that answers it
- Plan each crop and its successions on each growing station, with your own timings
- Log plantings and transplants as they happen, on the client’s beds or in your own grow room
- Log EC and pH on hydroponic stations against the range you set; findings routine, attention needed or issue
- Keep the client’s rooftop garden and your own farm on one register of sites and stations
- Carry what the chef asked for into the Garden & Harvest Report, so the kitchen sees each request answered
Ortalio keeps the record of what you planned, read, cut and delivered. It does not certify food safety, trace produce for a regulator or forecast yields: the record is yours, and the kitchen reads what you choose to send.
The routine’s other half
